Watching this video during the event while surrounded by lovely classmates and holding the hands of close ones was when it finally hit me: I’m graduating very soon. I still cry every time I watch it, and this song gets to me every time I listen to it. To others, Yerba Buena High School may seem “ghetto” or “horrible,” but it’s actually very wonderful. I remember not wanting to go there before Freshman year and trying to transfer out but after everything I learned and experienced there, I feel so blessed to have attended that school and made the greatest friends and memories. This all feels so bittersweet. I’ll forever live in a City of Dreams with the c/o 2013 ♥

The Seattle Space Needle sits on my computer desk - my working space and the most important area in my room. It is a Lego model given to me as a birthday present from my Big Brother. It is more than just model, toy, and assembled Lego kit. It is my very first attempt at anything related to architecture. It is my brother’s support for my passion and my motivation for doing what I love and what inspires me. It reminds me of my purpose and gives me a sense of direction. Yet, it does not move. Or speak. Funny, isn’t it?
